    Question Front bumper--lower section removable/available?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
OK, the wife had her TT 6 months without issue, but today she drove over a parking block (DOH! She didn't realize the giant SUV next to her was hanging over it so far...) So aside from the scrapes, the lower piece is cracked thru just below the center mesh grill. Q: can I just replace the lower section, or am I lookin' at a whole new bumper cover? I checked in EKTA and the whole bumper in p/n 8N0 807 101 AD for US version w/ washerjet openings. I'd rather just put the lower section on, but it is not identified as a separate part. I've also searched here and elsewhere already and didn't come up with anything other than bolt-on aftermarket items which go over the existing fascia, or replace it completely.

The car is pretty much stock as far as I know (partially debadged and we run the Fogs as DRL's. ) I'd consider aftermarket if not too garish. Lookin' for ideas here.
    TIA.

Call up your nearest Audi dealer parts department, and tell them that you need the lower valence/lip section of the front bumper. They will let you know the rest...

Thanks! I was wondering if there was a way to avoid the stealership tho...I just don't trust 'em on pricing something like this.

The bumper is 1 piece. ECS tuning sells the audi votex body kit which includes a front spoiler. that should cover your break. I believe they sell the spoiler separately (about $260.00 as I recall) although I didn't see it on this page. wouldn't hurt to contact them if you think it might fit your needs. Should be quite a bit cheaper than the OEM bumper skin. The votex kit is an audi oem product and fit/finish is top notch. Was originally sold only thru the audi parts department until recently (past year or so). I'm not sure why it is sold under the votex name but I'm sure they had a reason. good luck.

Shipping is horrendous on that odd size, but your in their neck of the woods so may be a good time for a road trip and just pick it up.

Nope--you win that one! It's still attached, even the mesh grilles are ok (need another coat of paint tho). But the fascia is cracked thru at the pass-side lower corner of the center grille opening.

And yes, depending on the shipping costs, it might be worth a roadtrip to ECS...

UPDATE: ECS won't let you stop in to pick up your order, so they lost my business. They wanted to charge $100 for shipping just the front splitter 3 hours away--from Akron to Detroit area; I could've driven there and back for less. Found the same part in San Diego (@ genuinevwaudiparts.com) and they shipped it to MI for $65. (List price was originally higher, but some suppliers are flexible on that.) It arrives tomorrow, and the 1st trial fit will happen Saturday.

Note to ECS: don't try to rape and pillage customers on shipping and you might expand your sales volume.

Wow that's crazy. I would think that ECS would be better than that. And genuinevwaudiparts.com is in san diego?! Boy, I'm out of the loop!

Wow I'll remember that! Thats a $h#$& thing that ECS wont let you do a pick up!
Stuff like that makes me not want to order from places again!
I will give my money to other places before ECS from now on.
