    Getting ready to start working on the rear flange. before I begin. Any helpful tips or tricks that you can share that will make this job less pain in the ass. thanks in advance

    I would do the vacuum simplification as it would've made changing the flange a lot easier at the time.

    i hope you have a dremel, the springs clamps on the flange are an absolute bitch to remove, had to cut them off...

    Yeah with the vacuum lines simplified and the Combivalve removed its really easy to get to. Like a 20 minute job.

    If I didn't have the engine out I wouldn't want to do it. Just pray your hands are small and able to bend at weird angles. I heard a little mirror helps you find the things you need to see. 90% of the hard work you will not be able to see.

    How do i simplify the vacuum lines. I am in the process of trying to get this bitch out. how did you guys take it out?

    Has it been changed before? Mine had all stupid one time clamps instead of hose clamps. Yeah take off that breather on the back of the valve cover and you should be able to see it much better. Remember the one bolt has 2 nuts on it because one holds the oil feed line in place.

    first time, I remove all the clamps on the hose the hard part is trying to get this 3 way hose out bottom. its pretty hard in there and I don't want to brake anything. was shaking the car trying to pull it out its in there pretty tight.
