    Question Performance Help Answer Needed

Ok guys help me out here. I have a 08 2.0T auto trans with revo stage 1 map and K&N drop in filter. Long short story, about a year ago a family member needed a car and took over the car payment due to it sitting around as a 3rd car for me. In 2 years I only put 3400 miles on it so I agreed to help. Over the past 12 months, they put 22000 miles on it and I just got the car back last week "non-payer" gurrrr and here are something’s that are different and I was wondering why and need some help to diagnose.

    1. The power seems to be down a bit, not as strong when I had it prior. Does the revo mapping lose power over time?
    2. On acceleration or steady cruise from the passenger side you would hear a nice air sucking woosh noise all of the time, Now it is Gone?
    3. On deceleration you would hear a pretty noticeable loud sound which I assume was the blow off and that’s gone?

When I got the car back, the check engine light was on and the car barely held an idle, much like it had a big cam in it "not the case" and they never performed any of the scheduled maintains. So I brought it into the dealer right away. I explained to serv rep I had the revo and he was cool with it, no issue there. They performed the 25K service and he told me that the cam sensor or cam valve sensor had to be replaced which they did.

The car doesn't idle anymore like it has a cam in it but it does seem to still feel like it is going to stall when you come to a stop, the idle goes really low. It is still making more power then the stock car did but I have lost the great sounds "woosh and blow off" that is used to make and I am still not 100% that it is running full boost or power or correct.

Anyone who could shine some light on my findings would be appreciated a lot. And all I can say is that I am happy to have my car back, I really love it!!

Would you lose power and the sound I heard prior? And wouldn't the dealer detect this?

Sounds like u have a very common boost leak caused by your diverter valve.

Your idle issues is probly caused by another very common b7 pcv fail. If you did any sort of searching you probly coulda figured this out pretty quickly but im feeling patient today and can help you out. Both parts can be found in this thread and all information can be found on this thread as well.

Change both of those out and I can bet you all your problems will be fixed. Both parts are very easy to chance, if you can change your oil, you can change both of these out with some DIY's, both im sure are on these forums located in the tech forum. Lemmi know if u need anymore information.

I can guarantee that your dv is probably bad, and yes, that would contribute to the loss of sound also. If your family member never did an oil change in that 22000 miles they drove, they better damn well be paying for you to get all the carbon buildup removed from your engine.

Luckily for me he works at a lube center so that was about the only thing cared properly for...
