I thought about it just because of the price, but I just don't see me using it.

I may buy it just because I drive 90% hwy and go from the Reno to the Bay. Besides it's a great price.

that is true unless one takes the time to care for the surface underneath
taking the cover off when washing the car, cleaning the underside of the cover, and keeping that area of the hood waxed helps tons
ive had my hood cover on for 6 months +/- and the paint/clear-coat under it barely has any bra rash (i know, ha ha)

@ awdjunkies; heres some pics of the hood cover on my ar

You ROCK my friend!!! Thank you, this is exactly what I was hoping it would look like. To add to your process, Yes its true especially since I been a fan of bras since I started using them in the late 80's ( Hahahaha- insert joke here). As long as you take care of the paint year 'round, then it will be worth it.

Yeah but it's not like the older bras where it covers the entire bumper. I used to have one on my TT Supra.

your car looks very clean, im sure you take better care of it than most. you also said you have had the bra only 6ish months, and already it is starting to show signs of bra rash... thats not good, and precisely why im not a fan. no matter how well you take care of it, it WILL show signs of scratches and rubbing

later on if you decide to remove it cause you dont like the look any more ur screwed cause the nose of your car now looks like crap.

id only consider a bra if i was doing a ton of Hwy driving where the paint on your leading edges is going to get destroyed anyway... odds are id still pass on the idea b/c i dont like how it looks.

    ...but thats just me =\

Precisely why I am ordering mine!! Because 90% involves HWY/Canyon driving.

    I like bras that are see-thru. ;)

Really though My car has a clear bra,but it's starting to discolor and become cloudy. If the original owner put it on when they first bought the car it is coming up on being 10 years old very soon. If it has the same life span of most outdoor vinyls of 5 to 8 years then it makes sense.

It is but I am looking at the black bra as an inexpensive alternative, since the front end clear bra is roughly $200+ each and every time.

It's just like a big clear vinyl decal. So yes, replaceable. But it costs.

its still cheaper than a respray... which is what you are looking at when the day comes that you want to remove the black bra.

True but the Reno/Sparks area has covered parking plus I always garage my AR, so to me its a win-win situation since I don't live in a (Big)city like LA, NYC. I guess that's the way I look at it lol .

Few years ago I bought a subaru beater (really cheap) and it had a bra showing its age... I tried removing it but... underneath there was just a big ass rust hole right through to engine compartment... LOL. I guess the owner never bothered cleaning underneath and it just rusted through.

I know it wouldn't happen with allroad since it has aluminum hood, but I still find it funny.

Btw, I re-sold the car 1y later with profit, lol.

http://www.armorcoatusa.com/ You can buy different year warranties. The race team that uses it went from painting the front after every race to a minimum 3 races.
I have the deflector to reduce the wind wind noise from the racks.Held on by 2 clips. The racks are square. The square ones are stronger then the factory and this is my work truck. Here is a picture with 850lbs on it.

Again, as usual, not sure if it is available in Canada. Will have to see what they say. Did you do it yourself or got it done?
