    secondary air injection pump help

I am almost done putting my 2001 S4 back together after some major work. I have hit a roadblock, I cannot figure out how the secondary air injection pump mounts behind the engine. I can't find any brackets or empty boltholes anywhere near where the diagram I got off AllData shows it to be (between the back of the driver's side cylinder bank and the firewall). I found diagrams on ETKA, but they don't show where the pump sits in reference to everything else along the firewall. I also can't find a plug that powers the thing. I have the hose from the EGR valves, but right where the connection lands is a mess of wires and hoses, not enough space for that big pump to fit. If anyone can help me with some pictures or directions, that would be a lifesaver.
My car is a 2001 S4 automatic (apparently that makes a difference in how the SAI setup is run)

After some research, it looks like the guy that sold me the engine lied and I have an engine for a manual trans, which means that there must be some sort of bracket missing. I don't have the old engine anymore and it's not the first missing small part I've found (bad story). Can anyone show me what the SAI mounting looks like and show me some pictures of that area of engine. Or even better, someone with an S4 automatic in the York, PA area let me look under the hood of your car for a bit?

Also, I have read mixed reviews of doing an SAI system delete. In PA we have to have the ECU checked for readiness via the OBD plug. Can the ECU be tricked or flashed to remove the SAI system from the readiness check?

I don't think it mounts on the engine but I too have been curious about this problematic little beast. Where does it live and how does it plug into the engine plumbing? I'm in teh process of installing a new motor in my 2002 S4 (spd) and I don't see where it goes.

It is mounted on the back of the engine on the drivers side.
