Intro 2001.5 S4 PICS

Ok, so just picked up my 2nd S4 after having crashed my first in 08... just sold the Infiniti QX4 ive had for about a year for her. Picked her up from Indiana brought her back to St. Louis, Black/Black/Alcantara 2001.5 shes stock with the exception of a few RS4 trim bits and lowered on HR Pref. coilovers. shes got 127k miles; plan to keep her stock no dentist drill but id rather let the turbos die slowly(even though I want to chip)...in the mean time I plan to add exhaust IC DTS etc slowly build. Anyways ive been a member and a lurker since 08 and I couldn't help but get another S4, they're a dream on wheels. I look forward to growing and learning with the rest of the board!

get a tune. it is not worth preserving the turbos for the fun you will be missing out on.

first S4 had MTM, fun yes, but id expect the turbos to blow fast with any tune at 127k miles old. When the turbos blow I will go GT hopefully! and that is not something I can afford ATM

Beatiful brilliant black s4. Paint looks flawless. It's nice the car came with the rs4 grille and cc headlights and m3 rear lip. What kind of exhaust setup? piggies and twin1?asp?

Nice car, reminds me of when I got mine. Had 128k all stock. Still runs great with stock original turbos at 145k!

Does anybody else when they see WOT read it as "woot" in their head besides me?

Anywho, nice purchase. I like to see other people using the cassette player beside me (for ipod).

i always use my iphone through the tape deck. Always super clear, never had a problem :)

Do you keep the pod at half volume? Thre always seems too be alot of hissing do you put an equalizer on the iPod? I use my iPhone maybe it different...

Try setting the iphone to around 7/8 volume, just dont put it all the way up, it sounds like junk.

Very nice, don't be afraid to chip it just follow the turbo rules always. Proper warm up and cool down, Check for any boost leaks, change oil on time etc......

I keep my ipod at about 3/4 volume. I only really hear hissing if the song is fairly quiet.

I like MTM specially for older turbos less harsh if they were younger id go GIAC.

Looks great, but not to burst your bubble, but your gauge cluster tells me its a 01, not 01.5. But looks very clean non the less.

Good job... so clean! Get the APR chip then keep it in stock unless you're feeling wild. It's the best way to keep your turbos

nice find..i agree with you if i HAD to start all over again i would keep her stock...
all needed maint., exhaust, 3" DP's, JHM short shifter, suspension ( looks like you have that sorted already) and upgraded engine/trans/diff/DTS mounts to get it to its FULL stock potential...
ESPECIALLY of your planning on saving to go GT's...
