    Thoughts on Master Cylinder upgrade

I've read all of the BBK and S4 upgrade solution for B5's. I have a pre-facelift avant and my brakes are pretty weak. I have newish hawk street front and rear, zimmerman rear rotors, ebc dimpled/slotted front. I've only stood on the brakes a few times and the pedal travel is wayyy to long. I'm thinking about changing my master cylinder and or brake booster.

What I really need to know is..... is there a master cylinder upgrade? I want a firmer pedal.

    Thanks

You can try changing all your brake fluid. Brake fluid loves to absorb moisture and when it does absorb any moisture it lowers the boiling point and can make your brakes softer and they heat up more. If you do find another master cylinder, you want to make sure that the surface area is a bit smaller on the pistons to give you greater stopping force. Pressure= Force/Area

fluids were all changed to ate super blue. I'm surprise no one's chimed in on this yet. I don't understand the idea of having huge porsche calipers and a weak booster/master cylinder. Yea it looks cool but function over form is more important.

Cause there is still alot of force comming from the stock master cylinder. I dont know the exact specs on the master cylinder but im sure it can handle the brake upgrade.
