i highly doubt a stock s4 fuel pump will support 400whp, its a decent size for stock, but thats twice the flow rate, i would definetly be upgrading.

I ran a stock s4 fuel pump on 420awhp (aggressive 91+meth tune, 25psi) for almost 2 years with no problems. But if you're going through the hassle, might as well throw a walboro or 044 in there.

Stock maxes out at around 400whp at 4 bar FPR, it can push more HPs at 3bar. If you're gonna be running 3bar fpr you should be good to go...

The factory did not think it even supported 380 crank sustained but what do they know, if they only would join forums to learn from the experts.

Why bother when you can get a Walbro for $80 and it will support more.

Why stop at 400whp, get 2 044's and shoot for 800hp.

Will my 1.8bat has 4 630cc seimans run from a tapp file, not sure about the bar cause it came with an adjustable euro spec one with the tune pre set. The stock a4 pump maxes out around 22-23 psi and I just want to crank up the boost to around 30 safely. Thanks for the responses guys. and why throw the s4 pump in my a4 instead of an after market one?? cheap. . . free :)

You should have Fuel Pressure gauge somewhere than. Check and see what the base fuel pressure is.......

you'll be fine with 630ccs. I run stock S4 pump on 6x630cc and 23psi or something to that respect without a sign of faltering... but you will be running at the very limit of it though.

Just get walbro from Vast. They can even sell you ready-to-go pump with it installed in your application specific basket.

one again though, I got this S4 pump for Free and it takes like 10 mins to swap them, Im going to install it and turn it up to 26-27 and when I get a fuel pressure gauge try my luck at 32psi

I made 446 on epl's mustang with my bone stock fuel pump. 6 months later still running like a champ. I do plan on switching to a 044 drop in when I get it retuned though. 400whp shouldn't be an issue

its not whether or not it can support it, its more of sustaining. an average nfl running back career is 5 years long. after that, they break down, cannot perform properly. of course, there are some exceptions. so your stock S4 pump will put out just fine, as to whether it will last for 6 months or 6 years at that level, no one can know..
