    speedometer recalibration with vag-com

So I just got new tires put on, and I downsized a little for snows, 225/45/17. Using tire calculators I determined my speedometer will be about 1.4% faster then it should be. I searched..a lot and found that there are "distance impulse numbers" you can change if you do change tire size. I'm not as concerned with my speedometer as I am with my odometer, I drive alot, and I don't want my odometer telling me I'm doing an extra 50+ miles a week.
Does anyone have any ideas which code I would need to slow my speedometer and odometer down?
I found this link for MKIV jettas/gtis and their codes
    http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a5/speedometer-read-fast-adjustment-VW.htm
my speedometer was also about 4+mph off before the tires, which from what i've been reading is normal, I'd like to correct this to.

its calibrated for 235/45/17, 225/45 is 1.4% smaller.
The stuff I was reading was you can't calibrate it, but there are several settings you can choose from and you can get somewhat closer.
I'm more worried about my odometer then my speedometer.

ditto - numerous GPS-based devices read about 3-4mph too fast on the speedo... I'm running stock tires/wheels - I don't get it...

Pretty much a factory decision - Audi speedometers display approx 3-5% faster than actual; I think the legal requirement is +- 5% so it's "safer" for them to read faster rather than slower than actual. Avoids any potential liability to the factory in the event one is caught speeding

    YMMV.

drive past a cop with the cruise control set 10mph faster then posted, you'll get pulled over and ask the guy what his radar gun said.

I always pass the radars 10mph over the speed limit and never get pulled over
