Help Needed: Symphony II to Symphony II+ conversion issue No Communication on K-line

I have been searching forums and re-checking wiring for about a year now and I have not been able to figure out what is going on with my conversion.

I have an 2002 A4 that originally had a Symphony II installed.

I cannot sucessfully connect VAG/VCDS with my Symphony II+. My problem seems to be related to the K-Line connection. The radio works and everything sounds perfect but the Unit is not setup correctly for the car it is in now.

With the original Symphony II installed it usually 2 or 3 trys to get the VAG/VCDS connection to work and update correctly.

The original wiring has not been modified in my conversion as I am using a "euro-parts.us" adapter to provide the connections to the Symphony II+.

I have verified all of the wiring connections several times. the K-line (Green/Blue wire on the original 8 pin power connector Pin 3) is correctly connected to pin7.

I have tried 2 different Symphony II+ units with the same results.

I have tried 2 different wiring adapters with the same results.

I have tried 3 different computers with the same results.

I am not sure what to try next except replacing the K-line it's self.

Is it possible that the OEM line that connects to the K-line is faulty or maybe the signal is too weak?

Will it help if I try to replace the correct wire with a new one?

Is there a more direct location to connect to the K-line?

Is it possible to connect the computer directly to the radio so I can vag the radio?

    Thanks
