Can someone help me out? I just had mine replaced (aluminum surround at top was coming off) and I was driving home and it didn't feel right - and the shifter leather is not perforated and I SWEAR it was on the one the damaged one. But you know how it is - you start doubting yourself. My B6 was perfed, so I don't know if I am remembering that. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow, but wondering if anyone can help me. Tried looking for pics, but hard to find. You would think I could remember as I've cleaned it a zillion times, not to mention driving it.

Hmmm, S Line definitely is perforated. If the grips on your steering wheel are perforated, I imagine the shifter would be too.

Edit: wait, I notice you actually shift your own gears... not sure about MT.

FWIW, 09' Sport Package TIP knob is not the perforated "air leather" like the steering wheel.

S-Line 6MT shift knob is perforated. I'm not sure about the Sport model since it's pretty much impossible to find a MT without ordering. :P I imagine it would match with the steering wheel though?

Sport package 6MT shift knob is not perforated. It is smooth, like the top and bottom of the steering wheel. At least on a 2010, which should be the same for the 2009. I don't believe there were any cosmetic changes, only package option changes.

Thanks guys. Like I said - sometimes when you ask yourself the question, you start imagining something different and believing that. I must be thinking of the B6 shifter. Thanks much, Chris.
