For those interested, I thought I'd share a little info on the longevity of these LED's. Bought the Ziza's from ECS http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B6_S4-.../LED/ES252846/ 2yrs ago and well... they finally died. The glue they used for the heat sinks came loose and the LEDs got too hott! BUT.. all up to then I never had 1 bulb out warning, flicker or anything until last night. Were they worht the 50 bucks?? yea, I guess.

I was going to just replace them with the Ziza's again until I saw this…….

    http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B6_S4-...LED/ES1899488/

Much better option in my opinion but well see when they get here, they look pretty solid. I also finally got around to getting some 8k bulbs for my lowbeams! now everything will match/blink the same color. Oh, except the tail lights but I'am working on that! I'll post pics and a vid when its all done.

or just buy the correct sized LED bulb without a built in resistor, and add your own inline.

42 draft designs bulb looks great I'm adding the in-line resistors now to clean up the bulb-out warning...

Same thing happened to my ziza's from ECS tuning. They're absolute garbage. I wound up buying some of superbrightleds.com. I paid 20 bucks iirc for them and have had no errors, and no problems what so ever.

Bought mine from super bright led's as well. been in about a year i guess. bulb out warnings got worse and worse... Now, the left bulb blinks seven....YES, 7 times while the right one is on,then they both go out? Where does one locate this resistor if i should want to install a new set?

OP... surprised nobody got on your ass YET for running 8000k lights for your lows. !.

I had the ones from 42 draft designs. I never had any problems with them. I got a bulb out warning once in a blue, since i always leave in it auto. I changed to the type that is the whole housing, seeing how I needed them anyway. They are bright as hell and its a white color, not they blue type that 42 deaft designs has. Pyspeed.com has pictures of them in them on in the specials & new products forum, and they also sell them.

The ones the OP listed are very much white, and very bright. I had them on the S4, lit up the ground for a good 5 feet behind the car.

I just picked some of those up from Mod Bargains

Great company to deal with and great lights. They are pure white and super bright.

No to the first question. Don't know about tthe second. I'd check to see if the B7's share the same bulb on Sylvania's website.

The only thing that I would of like to seen is some new screws, just to finish off the kit. Other then that, totally worth the $$. Way better then a bulb…by a million miles. I took some pics to show the difference between the Ziza and the Racing dash ones.Big difference!

I tried to order just the screw because one was stripped, but they only sell the screw with the lense as an assembly. I had to spend $22 on a new assembly.

Nothing! Not a one. Can't explain how nice it is to replace the whole unit and just not the bulb. Mine were all grungy and distorted in clarity. Finally somebody stepped up to the plate and did it right! Instead of the 3 LEDs a side...Iam sporting 18 a side!! 36 total, nice bright and Ohhhh soooo white! IMO, worth every penny. If these have longevity(I can only imagine they will) everybody can stop looking for the perfect replacement!!

I got mine in the mail the other day, I guess they work on the 08 and later B7s. I'll throw up some pics when I get them installed tonight.

So mine throw a code. Sonic Tuning said they work on the 08 and later models, my S4 is an 08 but an early 08 (Built in Oct of 07), so I have the same type of light inserts as the B6s. Installed them, they look awesome but threw the bulb out code.

Guess I'm sending them back. *sigh*

Maybe try throwing a resistor in there? I'm looking to do that as well so I'd love to hear from anyone about what Ohm resistor I need.

What wire did you splice it in to? Do I need 2 (one for each light) or just one resistor?

just one load equalizer (resistor) for both...theres a DIY somewhere here but you have to take off your trunk lining, then look for the four wires that goto the license plate lights..you put the resistor inline with the 2nd wire from the left. seadoo, you cant put these on your B7 S4 without getting a bulb out code.

The racing dash ones are extremely bright, as an led enthusiast I would love if someone could help figure a way to make these work on my 2005.5 B7 S4, i would be forever grateful...

anyone been to superlumination.com i used to get leds from these guys for my old mazda, never had an led go out, they lasted over 5 years before the car was flooded. not always the brightest, but i like the color most of all. there site still looks the same, it could stand to be updated...

I ordered these and installed them the other day. They work great. They're just standard Festoon bulbs that are blue coated that produce a white light. Exactly what i was looking for. I didn't want anything that threw a crazy amount of light.

I bought the ziza bulbs from ecs for my b7 s4 and had bulb out warnings son often in just took them out. Dont bother wasting your money unless you can look past the bulb out warnings.

Had a similarmproblem with the ziza LEDs to replace the city lights in the headlights. I just ended up takingnthem out since they threw bulb out codes more often than not... Usually it was only on one side too. Ziza=crap in my book
