Ive done the joey mod once before but im helping a friend do another one soon and i was thinking about just letting the headlights bake in the oven at like 250 degrees for a couple of minutes and then trying to pull them apart instead of heating and prying the lens off has anyone used another attempt like this to get the lens off?

I just did mine last weekend and used a heat gun and pryed the lens off. Mine had ALOT of silicon/sealant so I'm not sure how easily you will be able to "pull them apart". Good luck.

Ugh I wish I could have someone do this for me that has done it before SUCCESSFULLY (that includes no leaking after they are put back together!) Too scared to do it :)

225 for 8 min at a time worked easy for me, just remember the amount of pressure to use and itll be a breeze.

if you double or triple seal the channel after closing them back up, you will not get any leaking issues.

Did that still require you to pry the whole lip up or did you just have to do it in certain spots to get a prying point?
