    RS4 Motor Mounts+Launching+350CHP

I've destroyed my motor mounts launching my car with the 240mm Spec Stage3+ Clutch. The stock 1.8T mounts weren't meant for 4 wheel burnouts i guess. . . By destroyed I mean, you can hear and feel the engine bouncing up and down in the engine bay when I take off. By bouncing i mean CLUNKING.

I do not want a motor mount that will increase engine vibration felt in the car. So far the 034 mounts sound like this is increased. (Both street and track density.)

Has anyone had any success with the RS4 motor mounts in terms of durability without increasing driveline vibrations? I figure they can handle 450+CHP since the RS4 has slightly more horsepower than a stock 1.8t(HA). And i would think they are more oriented towards driveability and limiting driveline rumble since they are OEM.

    Anyone chime in.

The RS4's are still fluid filled so yes they will be smoother than the street density and track density mounts from 034. I assume you wouldn't need to change the RS4 mounts too often either.

Still holding onto anything you Canadians can i see . . . :)

So seriously, are the RS4 mounts my best bet to be strong with no vibration issues?

    Thanks!

I saw ECS tuning sells them. Anyone know a cheaper source?

Also, i'd like to replace the tranny mount while i'm at it. I haven't read anything about using the RS4 Tranny mount for it so I'm guessing that doesn't work. I don't want the Street density as again, i'm nervous about vibrations.

Is the stock tranny mount sufficient if i go with the RS4 motor mounts, or am I asking for trouble?

the b5 rs4 are not fluid filled, i had them in my car and liked them, I went to 034 street density and now I am thinking of going back to rs4 because of vibrations...The vibes are not that bad but still i notice them, it has been said that they loosen up given more time...if you drive hard plan on changing the rs4 like every 2 years as they get softer and buy them from a good source to make sure they are not chinese knockoofs

Ahhh running away from the 034 stuff ehhh?
U sat in my car and rode in it too.
Smooth as butter here with the 034 Street Density - gotta give em that... girlfriend approved too.

Having said this I would go with the Sterns or the up and coming Apikols next time I have to replace mounts. Just to have some motor/tranny mount bling (that no-one can see).

I have ASP PolyUrethane Mounts. Holy Shit, whole car is super vibratto. Once it gets going it's not bad at all. But idling and starting from a dig isnt fun.

    Get factory spec mounts.
