    in the trunk, above the little door on the left side.

    To get to it you have to remove the anchor ties on the left side, then the side wall carpeting, and then you should see it in a black plastic box, I think there is a bolt or two holding it in also

    so I don't have one of the module or the side carpet pulled out, but its honestly not that hard.

    in fact looking at it again you might be able to pop off that access cover and get to it, im not sure why I didn't....unless im forgetting something from when I did it 2 years ago.........

    anyway here's a quick pic of where it is

    Check this DIY: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec121.shtml

    It shows the location in a sedan. It should be in a similar location for the Avant. You would still follow the same process to get to where the receiver goes. The receiver will simply slide into place using guide rails from the plastic panel.

    looks like your going to have to be creative then, because you cant add one in the factory area that you don't have, you could still tuck it back behind the side carpet, there is an annoying amount of free space back there that doesn't get used

    Its easier to put tbe SAT receiver/tuner in front of the glove box.
