S4 rear bumper on ultrasport - rebar question

I've searched and searched, but haven't found any complete answers.

I've got an ultrasport and someone backed into me and fucked my bumper all up, so I'm looking to throw an S4 bumper on and make this not suck so much.

Question is this - will the S4 bumper fit on with the existing rebar? My understanding, from what I've found on here, is that the ultrasport has the shorter euro rebar so fitting an ultrasport on other cars requires rebar modification. But does this mean an S4 bumper will bolt right on to an ultrasport?

Also, would it be better to go ahead and get the S4 rebar?

If your car is a true Ultrasport, you will need the rear rebar from either a regular A4 or S4. The rear bumper on the Ultrasport is a Euro bumper that got past the Feds. The Euro bumper only sticks out half as far as the regular A4 / S4 bumper.

Correct. The Ulrasport rebar should be the same as the rear rebar found on the European A4/S4. The North American A4/S4 requires a larger rear rebar.

Cool, thanks guys. I ended up grabbing S4 rebar last night with the bumper so I should be good. Also, I have ultrasport rebar going up for sale next week if anybody's interested... though the DIY has made that less desired lol

Just curious, what'd you pay for the S4 bumper and rebar (used I'm guessing)?

The A4/S4/Ultrasport rebar setups are all direct bolt on replacements right?

Yeah, just unbolt the current rebar and bolt up the new rebar.

I'll post some tomorrow when I pull it apart so I can document the rebar as well. But the top portion of the bumper should probably be scrapped, the bottom is fine (with respray desirable, potentially) and I'm guessing the rebar is in good shape as well.
