Has anyone ever replaced the motor that locks our gas cap door?

I noticed a while ago the pin that locks the door to the gas cap in my car is missing Has anyone ever had to replace this? I'm guessing I'll start by ripping out the trunk liner to take a closer look at what's involved. Can anyone get me a part number for the assembly I'd need?

You don't have to take the liner completely out but it helps to pull the side away as much as possible. The pin is attached to a white actuator that slides in place. Usually they are in there tight and I tap it forward with a long screwdriver and hammer then pull out.

When you get the new one try to tighten the screws to the same point as the old one and then good luck getting the pin in the hole. Once you have the pin in the hole push the actuator on and pull it back into place, done.

The hardest part is getting the new pin in the hole and that is what "she" is for.

I definitely will when I get around to doing it. I've been meaning to post a diy on how to fix a broken home link too-- For those who are wondering, when your control arms go bad they have so much play that they tear the wires in your wheel well that send power to the buttons on your visor.
