    4.2 6 Speed vs. 1.8T 6 Speed Differences

I've searched and come up empty-handed. A few questions:

-Do the 4.2 and 1.8T 6 speed manual transmission share bellhousing bolt pattern? i.e. can I bolt a 4.2 6 speed up to my 1.8T
-What are the differences in the gear ratios between the 4.2 and 1.8T 6 speed?

    TIA.

Anyone have input on the bolt pattern?

What about the rear diff? Any difference between A4 and S4?

I would think so too...but based on Doug's link both the 4.2 and the 1.8T have a 3.89 final drive....indicating the same diff.

Bolt pattern is the same, and as long as the rear diff final drive matches the transaxle final drive you should be golden.
BT/BAT build threads make me happy I have a stock turbo
