    Front Passenger Window Problem

Ok the passenger door wouldn't roll up so I took off the panel and found this:

What would cause this? My car is a 2005.5 Audi A4 2.0T with 103K miles on it. Another thing, the door lock and window switches on the front passenger panel don't work, not even the red light on the lock switch works. The light on the side and bottom work, is there a separate fuse for each door? Thanks.

That's your window regulator. As you can see from the pic you took, it's pretty messed up. Audi/VW makes crappy window regulators.

As for the switches on that door not working, did you remove any connections when you started taking apart that door panel?

No, It hasn't been working for awhile and I didn't want to tear into the car but now I have too.

You can use my write up, I just swapped mine out last week.

Also, just saw a regulator (don't know the quality and not affiliated) for $45 shipped!
