    Did we all get duped with replica parts or are the fog vents not needed?
    Good to know I'm not alone.

    Could just drill some holes into the blades.

    If you are talking about what I am thinking of, VW/Audi generally only has one grill open here in the US for the side mount intercooler.

    I didn't get mine from ebay, I bought mine from an AZ member (lokak), and I'm pretty sure they are OEM.

    A4 b8 has a FMIC. On the stock fog grilles there are holes underneath two blades on each side. I am guessing it's for air intake/cooling.
    Anyone who's installed the A4L fog grilles comment on any cooling issues?

    I bought mine from vaglink (HK) and they seem like OEM also.
    Anyway, I guess if it becomes an issue, it can be drilled easy enough.

    Interesting, those of you saying that the stock fog grills also had these small vent openings have 2010 models.

    I have a 2009, and my stock grills have no vents.

    I wonder if the A4L fog grills everyone is getting are from a 2009 A4L model?

    Still don't see the purpose for these vent openings though.

    Agree. Only vent/openings on US 2009's are two 'clip' access along top edge and one below fog light (for fog lamp vertical adjustment, methinks).
    S4 fog grilles are different animals - openings for larger intercooler? - same p/n, different rev. #. Go figure.

    Maybe they're there just to make taking them off easier? I know I could've used them when changing my foglights
