    upper arms question

im sure you guys are very sick of hearing about this, but im new so please humor me. i am bagged and am as low as i can go thanks to the bulky ass upper arms. i can plainly see where they are hitting and i would love to tuck up front as well, but i looove the car. to those of you that cut out spots for the arms to continue their travel and go through to the engine bay, do you regret doing it? to anyone else, is there another way? i cant see any other way... but might as well ask. "if" i did cut, i will be welding in some nifty covers for the arms so it doesnt look dumb and hacked when i pop the hood. i just want to know if this is the only option. i know about the structural integrity and all that good stuff, im used to cutting and welding from my old car. (frame notch, tierod notch, subframe cutting, blah blah blah)

    thanks for any help az

eric what you can do is get a pair of B8 UCA covers. and then cut out the hole in the fender to match it. that way you just put the cover on and it looks OEM. Although on the B8s the control arms in relation to the engine bay sit far more forward than a B7.

But by all means do it! I want to see the results of how much lower it goes!

to be honest i really wanna see too. when i air out i feel like i have AT LEAST 20psi to go. which with the bagyards should be possibly up to an inch and a half. which would make me very happy. the arms are smashed into the fender well, its clear as day thats whats holding me up. when they say extra shortie on the bags, they mean extra short lol. im still gonna ponder it and see what i come up with... im thinkin the plasma cutter might make an appearance
