any ideas what it could be?According to ross tech its * Intake Air System leaking
    * Oxygen Sensor(s) and/or Oxygen Sensor Control faulty, but I was unable to find any leaks and the sensor is brand new

yup i rechecked and made sure they were correctly plugged in and positioned and I am running a spacer on the rear o2. The only reason I thought it might be the rear is because I never got the code till switching out the rear and the front is relatively new, less that 8,000 miles on it

bump!!!!!!! but this thread seemed to fit fairly well with my problem

OK so I am also getting a P1176 CEL, P1176 - Bank1: O2 (Lambda) Correction Behind Catalyst: Control Limit Reached

about 72k- chipped to APR stage 1+ with bosh 380cc (I know there not TT225 386cc's but I haven't gotten around to replacing them)
about 81K- 034 HFC installed (got the expected rear O2 CEL, about two weeks after the HFC got re-flashed to 2+, cell gone)
today 82k- get the P1176, been driving around a lot today as Seattle is getting some good snow (28*F), and having quattro means that I get to shuttle people around

so I see that it is commonly a bad O2 sensor, however doesnt the APR 2+ code out the rear sensor?
I also heard that this code rarely is caused by a bad MAF, so I unplugged MAF and drove about 10 miles (very fun having no traction control in the snow )

before when the CEL was thrown my long term fuel trim was 13%, short term fuel trim 0%
after driving for ten miles the long term fuel trim was still very high, 14%, this leaves me to believe the MAF is fine

so, im guessing it is the injectors that is causing my car to run way to lean, also leaves me with a $300 test to see if I am right

anyone else have any thoughts into this matter

you know there is a button that does this too right? lol

also if you are using a J bung or an O2 spacer AND you have the code 'written out' by your software, its not actually written out- just the values it looks for are different, so spacing it can cause problems. well at least that's what my tuner told me...

I never put a spacer on the O2 because I knew the 2+ file would delete it, wonder if adding one in will help or make it worse

I unplugged the MAF to see if it was faulty, I didnt actually know that it played a part in the traction control until I was getting back onto the free way

if the 02 sensor has actually gone bad, the code will still come up even if the error omit software is in place. ask me how I know.
