    Visor Clip Broken

When driving, my passenger tried to moved the sun visor and snapped the bracket clip. The part number is 8E0 857 562 A and it is light gray. I tried finding it online and wasn't having much luck. The only place I could find was worldimpex.com, but haven't done any business with them before. I couldn't find it on genuinevwaudiparts either. Does anyone have an extra they are looking to get rid of or have a place I can find it. Shoot me a PM if you have one you'd be willing to sell.

I snapped mine a couple weeks ago. Slip the cover off and take the unit out of the ceiling. Find a soldering gun and melt the pieces back together. Worked great for me. Also, I had to compress the spring metal clip to allow for easier removal of the sunvisor, which is nice now anyway. It still looks stock and is strong too. DO NOT GLUE IT! Nothing sticks to this plastic.

The last three numbers correspond to the color of the bracket. 1YE is listed as 'silver'...

Thanks for the insight... I'll try to melt the pieces together, but some of it shattered off. I may just have to pony up and buy one, ridiculous price for a tiny piece of plastic though.

Thread revival. Anyone else have sun visor clip broketed? Mine just did and wondering if we can expand DIY sample size beyond 1.

Best method of repair? Melt with soldering gun? Glue? Other? There's a cap/cover that goes over the bracket, so the fix doesn't have to be pretty.
