Why couldn't you just go to home depot and buy the mesh and cut it out? You can remove the black trim piece in there, so just replace it. Greg from DTH used to sell an actual insert made out of carbon fiber, so I know it's removable.

I'd just remove the trim, plastidip or paint the area behind it and below (like in the OP's pic), and put in the mesh. Voila.

UMMM... "Chandler"??? is it??? you're are dead wrong. there is not removeable piece on a USP bumper, besides the upper half and bottom half seperating each other. the black coloring on a USP rear is just a vinyl sticker overlay. not a seperate piece that comes out. i doubt the picture here is photoshopped, but it is a USP rear that has been custom molded.. painted black in the middle bottom, and i dunno where the mesh part came from. that looks legit! and done amazingly.

as i am about to be doing some kind of custom rear, i'm interested to see what/how this guy did his.. looks pretty cool, but i am doing mine a bit different. but i give this rear BIIGGGG props!

Ok "capt douche"??? is it??? I'm not "dead wrong" if there is, as you put it, a "vinyl sticker overlay". Call it what you want, but it can be replaced or covered with the mesh. Sorry I didn't use the correct wording, forgot this was the AudiEnglish101zine. Get over yourself. It's ridiculous how nobody can constructively contribute to a thread without scouring it for something to bring up that makes him better than the other guy. That's the sort of shit that brings the zine down to the vortex level.
    [/defensive rant]

Anyway... no doubt it looks good. Way better than stock for sure. Good luck to you and the OP, I'm sure it will come out nice.

lol. awwww.. you're all butthurt. how cute.

i don't want you confusing people, thinking their usp rears have an insert that comes out, so YES, you are DEAD WRONG! and you do not know what you are talking about since you say you "know it's removeable". has nothing to do with correct wording, a sticker and an insert are 2 completely different things.

so dont be so defensive because i say you're wrong. the thing lowering the level of this great site is people not knowing what they're talking about (in this thread as an example)

speaking of bringing down the forum...after calling someone a douche who provided the correct information, interesting.
