Some oil in turbo compressor outlet

Is it normal to have some oil residue in the turbo compressor outlet? It's not much, but doing some research supposedly it could be bad seals. The oil on the paper towel is after a quick swipe around the edge of the outlet. Pic:

As far as I'm aware its okay to have a little oil, which it seems like you only have a little oil anyways... When i was replacing my K03, because it took a dump, i removed the hose from the the compressor to the crossover pipe and oil came gushing out! I swear i probably could've started doing oil changes from that point, haha. Anyways if you start noticing more oil in the compressor area than i would probably deem it bad seals, i would just recommend keeping a close eye on your oil level and go from their.

It's normal to have a small amount of oil residue on the compressor outlet or IC piping. From the amount that's on your paper towel there I wouldn't worry about it.

Also remember that your crankcase breather system vents into the TIP, so you are going to see an amount of oil vapors from that too.

Yeah, that's normal. When I did my timing belt I took off the crossover pipe + had about half a cup of oil! My K03 is going out however... There's a ton of shaft play in it, but it still boosts 'normal.'

you pretty much always have a tad of oil residue in there. If/when the seals go you will see more oil.
