    Blown Turbos :(

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
This sucks, I just installed my new 044 motorsport bosh fuel pump in a stage 2+ nogaro and on the same night blew my pass. turbo?!
I guess my choice now is going with K04's. Which kit or tune should I go with? I might get the rp's but don't know with what fueling kit to go with.
If by any chance somebody shoot me a pm, I'm looking to get my car back on the road since its my daily. Any inputs would be appreciated

Go with OEM BW's just to be sure you do the right thing...

I would go with BW for the simple fact that anything that has just been "revised" will also have problems because of the simple fact they do not have weeks months or years of customer use and abuse. You should also be able to run K04's on a mild tune without a fuel kit right off the bat. I am assuming you already have a chip since your stage 2+. If money is an issue and the fix is needed ASAP then that may be your best route. Do it right or do it twice.

I recently switched to a Vast tune, RS4 airbox and maf on K04s and love it. I got a smooth, conservative and proven tune - Vast's customer service and support is second to none.

Definitely contact a tuner like EPL or Vast first and discuss your goals first. Feel free to PM me with any additional questions.

The RP's have had an excellent track record lately. For the price, I wouldn't pick BW over them.

If I was starting a build today I would definitely consider this option.

When are franken turbos suppose to be available? I'm in the same boat, don't want to go with RP's and can't find oem k04's without a huge price tag due to a mfg delay/backorder.

I will have my stage 3 Vast tune for sale since I will be getting a new custom tune from them for my turbos. I will be selling everything together, ECU, Injectors and a Maf housing. However my car is 02 and the tune is on an M-box.

What is a "huge price tag," go with CTS Turbo and let that be it.

So these Frankenturbos will be above K04's? As in a better power with quicker spool? How would they compair to RS6's?

I was thinking of going with the rp turbos since they are the cheapest option. and was possibly looking to get a whol kit used from somebody. Also I might stop by EPL to talk to them since I work at Euro Motors right by them lol.
