I have a stage 3 2001 audi s4 with Clutch master Stage 3/4 8puck full disk Clutch, Clutch master Pressure plate and Fidanza Lwfw.

My car has 100k miles on it clutch was changed out at about 80k

my issue is that is it will not grip until the car is at operating temp but it still would not grip like it should.

There is no Clutch burn smell and no noise. Slave cyclinder is good. Fluids are full.

    Can any one help please?

    TIA

That clutch has a VERY high failure rate. It's probably shot. Mine was dead in less than 10k miles.

It's not the company, just that particular clutch. I've had a CM Stage 4 (6 puck) for a few years and about 32k miles and it's been great. The full stage 4 is awesome... that stage 3/4 sucked. *shrug*

i had some clutch issues a while back, and talked to a few major clutch manufacturers. this was told me. "guys get a clutch that will grab and hold 1000 whp, but they dont last long as a dd. simple fact"... . and i havent heard that around here, but i had a southbend stage 4 and an RS4 pp for a while. 15k. 100 + passes at the track, and it gave.. guys still cant believe that i got that much out of a hi-po clutch..

When it comes to clutches it's a compromise between holding capability, street manners, and life.

In that case what would be a sufficient long life clutch for dd that also has performance? A good combo of performance and longevity.
