Thanks. I never do DIY's because it's all trial and error and multiple revisions until I really like it... and as such I can never get it documented right. It's basically an OE grille with the center cut out. I replaced the OE plastic horizontal louvers with standard expended metal grating that most closely matches the USP fog grilles then filled in holes with plastic repair. I then made the center lower with the same material so it would match. The surround dark portion and the part the rings are mounted on are actually carbon fiber overlayed (can't see the detail of that from the pic I'd posted, but the ones below show one of the earlier revisions of it), and then, thanks to Old Guy Fletcher, the rings and outermost part of the surround trim are painted in OE silver to match the body paint and some parts of the headlight interiors (those to be posted at a later date).

Yep. The region I cover from work has me in the dreaded Philthydelphia 2-3 days a week, though. I live about 13 miles southeast of Pittsburgh city center out route 51. I'd kill to live in the Raleigh Durham area. Friggen love it there and if that region ever opens up for my company, I'm gone.

Churchill. About 10-15 mintues outside of city center. Aunt works at Children's Hospital in the city, so we meet all the Steelers/Penguins when they come to the hospital to see the kids in the "terminal" ward. I've strongly contemplated a career in the medical field JUST so I could have the opportunity to work at that hospital, with those kids in particular. I know it's kind of cliche, but it really does put things in perspective when these 3,4, and 5 year old children are told they won't be here in 6 months but are as happy as can be...

Yeah I know right where Churchill is...I pass it pretty much daily. I know what you mean about Children's...my sister works there. I really feel for those kids as well. I started out going to school for the medical field but changed it after two years...prob best thing for me to do at the time...but I plan on going back to school starting next year so knows(I been out of school for so long not sure how well I'd adjust ). But yeah I'm from Hazelwood...I dont live there now tho and haven't for along time....I live out near Seven Springs now...cant wait for the snow to hit the mountain so I can really put the audi to the test.

Just a thought, Anyone have a pic of mounting an aftermarket PS cooler behind the LH foglight? (where duct is for stock smic) so you'd only really see it if you popped off the surround for the foglight. OR... has anyone done this, period?

Off topic but do you guys have fitment problems with the ER comp +rebar? My bumper is all hacked from following the instructions but I still had to force the bumper on putting a lot of stress on my fender..maybe my front clip is off alignment

yeah yeah, thats where i got the idea, but was looking to see an pic of one thats held in place. Doesnt look like clint would have the clearance needed to do this with the bumper on tho, but for us 'less fortunate fellas' it seems like a good idea.

We do. Go to the mid atlantic regional forum and the Pittsburgh People thread. It is one of the longest and perhaps most viewed threads on AZ. It had many more views, too, but that got lost when AZ crashed a few years back.
We meet at Mad Mex in Greentree a good bit, and if you can make it to Robinson, it's only another 10 minutes or so... and we've got people who come from further away than you would.
