I saw a lot of post regarding using the wiring in the dome light. Has anyone hardwired their radar detector underneath the dash? If so, can you identify a good switched wire to tap into for power? Thanks for the help.

This actually just came with a "Wire Tap" so I don't have to mess with the fuse box. Thanks

I highly reccomend ditching the wire tap and getting some fuse taps from autozone or something

I finally got around to doing this and I can't find a fuse that is "switched" ... I have tried just about all of them and none of them will turn the radar detector off with the car. I tried the cigarette lighter, front electrical outlet, trunk socket, radio, horn, garage opener, sunroof ... none of them will cut the power when the car is turned off. Any help is greatly appreciated.
