non heated to heated front seat swap questions

I have a 2003 A4 1.8T with no front heated seats. Now let me tell you that in the Nebraska winters when it hits its winter stretch and its always colder that 10 degrees outside those non heated front seats are like sitting on an ice block. I would like to do a swap to heated front seats. I am curious as to if this has ever been done before. I dont know all of the parts needed and am looking for some guidance.

Parts I know I'll need are the front seats with the heated option and also the new climate control unit.

Overall looking for a DIY, parts needed and just general guidance.

I appreciate the help in advance.

    harness from kufatek
either seats with heat or the pads there prety expensive and seat to bits to fit
and the CC unit with seat switches on it
i know some seats in the uk have the pads fitted but not wired up

You best bet is to call your local dealer or call around to aftermarket places and just have heated seats installed in your vehicle. we do this all the time with no heated seats and it will cost you a ton less then finding a set of heated seats and doing it yourself. It should only cost you $600 tops (my cost is like $430 for heated seats being added to a car)

I added heated seats to my B5, my seat ripped and I found one with the heated seats. What I did was put a switch on the side of the seat in the plastic and just wired it up from the batery.

In our B6 you will not only need the Heated seats but a different Hvac unit since the heated seat dial in located there. I am not sure if the wires are going to be there, they were not for my B5 or I just couldn't find them.
