so my canadian RS6 has daytime running light by default using the fog lights... i just realize... when i start the car up at night time... the license plate light along with my brake light (parking lights) would come on also... checked again during daytime... the license plate light is always on! so whats the deal? is it normal? chances are, it will be similar to canadian a6s...

yup that is the way they are. The Canck DRL "system" consist of running your parking/taillight/signal lights as well as the fog lights. There is a way around it....I had my allroad done to remove the DRL function, the signal lights as well as the fogs.....essentially turning the allroad into the EU spec and giving me full control with the switch of the lights/fog lights.

I'm actually trying to do the opposite ** I want my car to act like the Canadian version.

not that simple really, wiring changes required based on the model/year of the vehicle. Paul of pixelfix.info (AKA audifirst) did mine, you should contact him to see if he can do yours as well
