Can someone help me identify maker this chip set up?

Info- This is the inside of my ECU. It is a 1998 A4(B5) Quattro 1.8T

Question is regarding the secondary board installed with the stock looking EPROM.

I have been in touch with APR and GIAC. It does not come from one of those companies. The chip is write protected. I know this because I didn't know the ECU was modified, and my local GIAC dealer could not flash the ECU. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

It could be an EVC board like mine. It will have a number code under the chip on the socket. You can email them the code for ID of the programer.

giac uses that type of setup but looks like the stock chip

their early stuff was designed to take the encryption board off and put the stock prom back on

pull the board off "carefully" and get a pic of the underside of it please

GIAC viewed the PIC and it is indeed theirs. So I haz a GIAC tune.

yeah, they pointed me to the underside of the secondary board, and it says GIAC in small black letters. I am lame. I have never driven another A4. So I don't have anything to go by. However, it feels stronger than the stock specs suggest. There used to be a boost gauge in the car, and it read around 16-18psi. There is also a Forge DV on the car as well.
