New Audi TT Owner with some questions...

    Hey everyone,

Ok, so I was unsure where to post this so I'm just doing a general post with a couple of questions I would like to ask everyone, so here goes.

First off I am trying to figure out how much horsepower my TT has. I have a 2000 Audi TT Quattro that is a 5 Speed. I have found conflicting info all over the internet that says they only had a 6 speed in the quattro for the 2000 and then ive found that if you have the quattro its got 225 BHP and then i've found sites that say if you have the 5 speed then its only 180 BHP so I need help to figure that out.

Second, I wanna put a boost guage in it and I'm lookin at the vent guage so i was lookin for everyones thoughts on that.

Third, I was thinkin about putting in a distributor valve and a cold air intake so I was wondering which ones everyone suggests and if there are any other must do's right now?

Lastly, I have found through numerous forums that the washer fluid reservoir is a pretty popular problem with cracking and the one I purchased has that problem (found out after i bought it). I have not been able to find a reservoir anywhere online so I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one.

Basically I'm lookin for advice of which boost gauge, which distributor valve, and which cold air intake to go with at first.

    Thanks in advance!

    Jeremiah

As far as diverter valves go I have been lookin around and I was wondering if this one is any good? http://www.esetuning.com/Forge-Motor...r-polished.htm I wasn't necessarily lookin for a blow off valve but I'm wonderin if this is a legit deal or if I should just get this one http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...IL=BaileyValve

I like the sound of a blow off valve but its not necessarily the most important thing

    right but not specific enough

There are 3 versions for the 1.8t on the TT:
180hp single exhaust outlet 5spd FWD
180hp single exhaust outlet 5spd Quattro
    225hp Dual outlet 6spd Quattro

We have the same exact car. Mine is also a 2000 Quattro 5speed, which means that it is the 180hp version. Two ways to know is having a single exhaust outlet and the other way is if you look at the engine bay:

    180hp vs 225hp

    180

    225

see how the intake manifold on the 180 is facing towards the left and on the 225 facing towards the right? the 225 intake manifold is towards the right because of the charge pipe that was added in coming down the left side of the engine for the second side mount intercooler added for the 225hp.

    You're welcome

Did you mean aCetuning.com? For some reason the URL asetuning.com doesn't work. I'm actually getting a new DV soon waiting for ECStuning to have their Christmas sale so that I could snag the Forge 007 DV. I've heard a lot of good things about it.. just do some searching. As far as intakes go, I have the Modshack intake (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...k-VTDA-Stage-2) which uses K&N's filter. You will see that everyone has nothing bad to say about this intake. If you check out my profile page, you can see all that I have done and everything I have done in mileage order in this thread (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ing-the-TT-%28).
