aww, it wasnt that bad. even easier than changing coilpacks in the dark with trucks flying by so fast they almost knock you over.

well it just split at the seam, so i snapped it back together and made to work, and home again.

so...its working. i took it apart and its working as a check valve, so should i just silicone it back together? say yes, cause thats what i did, and im waiting for it to dry as i type!

    chime away!!!

edit. it looks brand new and its very sturdy or not brittle i should say.

They always look brand new and they don't get brittle. the round part comes out of the cone part and thats it. you can glue them back together. But the new ones are made differently so theres no round part at the end of the cone its just one solid piece.

A replacement is dirt cheap. Go ahead and order one now and put it in your trunk along with two hose clamps so when it comes apart again (and it will) you will be prepared. I glued mine when it first came apart and ordered a replacement. The glue lasted about a month.

AKA suction pump or suction jet pump. It uses a venturi effect to increase the vacuum pull for the brake booster.

Well, when I replaced mine, I noticed the previous owner used electric tape to hold it together, but Old Guy is right it's a cheap fix and I think the new ones don't have a seam to crack.

The new ones still have a seam. It would be impossible to assembly without one. However, the attachment method of the two sections has been improved.

058133753D is the updated version. 058133753B is the older version.

Mine crapped out a month ago. I couldn't boost past around 10psi, it made a really loud hissing noise, misfires, lean codes, etc.
