Is it ok to suck a bit of water mist into the turbo inlet?

I gotta take my car to work today and the forecast calls for a light rain. So I was wondering if it was maybe ok if a little bit of water / misty type got into the turbo would It be ok. No no im not talking about spraying a garden hose directly at it. I haven't got my cobra 90 degree elbows yet. and I cant put a filter on my turbo because of my headlight. Its got metal mesh to protect it from sucking in big things like rocks/bugs/honey badgers..

    Think ill be alright?

Oh yea, its a Garret 50 trim T04e turbo.

Have you thought about what water/meth injection does? It's exactly that lol a burst of 50/50 (usually) water and methanol sprayed into your intake to cool the air or raise octane level. As long as you don't get more then 1/2 oz of fluid in a cylinder you should be ok.

Most likely it would be evaporated once either going through the hot turbo or way prior to getting in the cylinder itself.

If the engine is cold.. thats another story.. Warm your car up good.

    It is fine,
Some clean their engine whit water mist.
Once the engine is warm, they spray water mist into the intake. When the colder water particules it the hot carbon deposit, the carbon crack and then is removed.
Then make sure you use the car for long enough to completely eliminate the excess of water.

    This clean the combustion chamber.

FNK is correct. And that's another reason I want to run meth with the supercharger. Keeps the car healthier =D

A lot of FD RX7 guys run mechanical water injection by placing a nozzle infront of the intake to the primary turbine. So far no complaints...
