    Cruise Control Problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

Noticed yesterday my cruise control is no longer working. Have checked vagcom block 066, all cruise switches are registering correctly. No error codes. Also, clutch pedal switch, brake pedal switch, are working fine as well.

No warning lights on the dash, etc. everything else is still 100% normal.

Any ideas? I'm going to go check my fuses; but I'd imagine the cruise switches wouldn't register if the fuse had gone.

Mine doesn't even have a fuse for the cruise control, but it still works.

I've found with mine, that I have to push the "set" button in and hold it for a full second and then it registers that I want to activate cruise control.

I think it's programmed to ignore an accidental bump to the button, similar to the ESP button.

Anyway, I fixed the problem - turns out my clutch pedal switch was in fact playing up; get this, it showed 1 with the clutch fully out, then with my foot resting on the clutch, it would show as 0, then when I pressed the clutch in it registered as 1 again, haha.

I wonder if it's been messing with my ignition timing the last couple of days cos the car has generally just been a little weird!

Anyway it's all fixed now and running great again, cheers.
