    Just throwing this out there for any who don't know:

    There is a small compartment beneath the steering wheel where the manual goes. Check there and see if your manual has been hiding there all along. Don't be too embarrassed, it happens to all first time Audi owners...

    took me about 3 months to realize there was one in there, so now I have 2 because the dealer didn't know about it either. Lol.

    That's the place where I keep my notebook. But yes, I only found that small compartment after a year lol. And it was no manual there :(

    It is a great spot for it. I ended up with 2 manuals for my used 2003 Passat when I got it from a Ford dealer, neither of us knew about the "hidden" compartment and I found it 3 months later. When I traded the VW in on my 2007 Audi in March, the Kia dealer where I bought it said they would have to order me a manual, I said let me show you something... :)

    Can someone post a pic of where exactly this compartment is. I have an 07 Cabriolet and cannot find it to save my life. The one under my seat it there but I feel like a fool reaching all under the steering wheel trying to find it.

    Below the steering wheel there is a slot... the book and sleeve slide in there, binding out. There is no flap covering it. So if you have an empty tray below the steering wheel, the book is not there.
