yea, they fit b6 & b7.

it's kinda crazy.
i think the regular price was around $600.
then they dropped to $100.
now, if you can find them, they're back up to the regular price.

apparently, audi doesn't even sell these anymore.
i was pissed when i missed out earlier this year & ended up buying a set of oettinger skirts that fit like shit.
glad i finally found this place.

They are B7 DTM sideskirts and will fit B6-B7 (since the cars are virtually the same from wheel well to wheel well).

Originally sold for close to $1,000...then Audi stopped making them and blew them out of their warehouses for $78 each.

Wheel well to wheel well, no real difference. There's a few B7 body lines that are different on the doors...other than that, they are the same.

BoraParts is great- here's the Votex skirts test fitted on my 03'/3.0 Avant. Perfect OEM fit. Hopefully I'll get it in to have them painted along with the rest of the lowers...

No real rule, just depends on demand. They had to make room in warehouses for newer model parts...so they liquidated a lot of inventory. I have no idea if they plan on producing more or not.

Other than safety and emissions components which have to have replacements available, I think they're only required to make enough parts to meet some calculated demand, and for non-standard or special things, like Votex skirts and trim I don't think they have to make them after the model is out of production. I'd guess that they actually quit making these a couple years ago at the end of the B7 production.
Older generation cars ARE usually S.O.L. for many things, I've called MANY times trying to get simple parts and I'm simply told the part is *unavailable*. Imagine the cost to produce all the tiny components for the various models for a decade..that's the only way VW survived the 50's and 60's. Most of the parts hardly changed and were used in production for 30 years! Whenever the VW dealer parts dept has something on clearance/closeout it usually means they don't want to stock it anymore and they're never getting more.
