Just put my winter's on...rolling on meats now...

My Mich PS2s were getting a little low so instead of buying new summer tires for a few weeks, I went with the winter setup early. Here are some shots of the dirty car with tires that are going to be hard to get used to:

Can't wait until spring...but for now safe and quattro sound...

Must admit it does drive like a dream now...little smoother than with the 19s...the setup is the Audi winter setup for S6 which is on 18X7.5 wheels with 36 offset...they looked like B7 S4 wheels but dealer says they are special for the S6 winter package (at least has a unique part # not shared with any other vehicle)...the tires are Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT M3 BW size 235/45/R18 XL 98H and they look like 4wheeler tires compared to the PS2s..

I now am hoping for bad weather so that I can try them out...(and the spring to throw new PS2s on the 19s again)

If it isn't your first shot at buying winters for the C6 gen of these cars, the dealer cautioned me that several shops around town have been selling tires with the wrong weight limits for our cars. Might just be a C6 S6 thing as they are heavy as hell, but would check with the dealer on recommended weight ratings for tires before buying (for the S6 it was 98 for 18" and 99 for 19").

Great ill look into that as well. I purchased my A6 last decemeber with Bridgestone Blizzaks on the 17's so I wasnt sure if I wanted to go with them again or try something else. I think I ought to switch back though just to keep my 19's in good condition.
