2 Easy wheel fitment questions for those who’ve been down this road

    1. Staggered setups…an issue? 19x8.5 Front/19x9.5 Rear. I imagine not since I‘ve seen a few 15mm spacer fronts with 20mm spacer rears on stocks.

    More importantly
    2. Will 19x9.5 ET 40 fit in the rear of our B8 A4… (extra details: Lowered on H&R Sports / Will get whatever width tire will help it fit if its end result is borderline)

    1. Staggered isnt an issue, make sure your overall rotating diameter with tires is less than 3% difference between fronts and rears.

    2. 19x9.5 ET40 will clear even with a 15mm spacer.

Not entirely true. In order to make 19x9.5" ET25 fit, he'd need to be stretching 225's over those babies.

not concerned about adding spacers to the rear at all. was thinking that it might not even fit with 245/35's on the ET40's straight up. considering that ET35's with 255 tires has caused rubbing in the past.
    anyone running anything close this?

I'd go with 245's personally and add 5mm spacers if there's enough room. 255's should work though, especially Toyo Proxes 4 or Nitto INVO.

235/35 and a 10mm and your safe, the INVO's in 235/35 on a 9.5 is very minimal stretch. Blake remember he's not on coils so with springs he shouldnt have rubbing issues..

That could work, but depending on which wheels he is talking about there may not be a 10mm spacer that fits. BFI only fit OEM or other wheels with 45 degree CB chamfer. In his case, what tire size would you suggest up front on the 8.5's... 235 as well? 205/40/19 would technically be the matching staggered tire, right? I dunno, this sounds like a bad idea all around IMO.

I'm running 19x9.5 et41 in the rear with about an inch drop, 5mm spacer and 255/35. No rubbing at all.

Pics or it didn't happen! In all seriousness, I'd love to see some pics of that setup because I came up with 9.5" ET36 (essentially what you're running with the spacer) as ideal rear specs after taking some measurements on my car a while ago.

Thanks for all of the back and forth guys...much appreciated and i think i have a good grip (no pun intended) on what I need to do.
Still tho, just because the rims are staggered, i can still run the same size tires front and back, correct? Again im looking at 245/35 or 255/35.
btw, the rims in question are Avant 310's.
Also, tires would be hankook ventus...

Why not go 19x9.5" ET40 all around? 255/35/19 with no spacers or 245/35/19 with 5mm spacers would be a great fit.

If you're talking about OEM B7 RS4 wheels, the center bore is too small and won't fit over the larger B8 hub. Otherwise, the offset is too low to run normal size tires and you'd have to stretch skinny tires to even come close to getting a rub free ride. Totally not worth it, IMO.
