    suspension questions

    Hey guys,

I am @ 100,000 miles now. My ultrasport suspension is shot. The rear struts are leaking oil like it's their job.

I am looking @ possibly grabbing the Bilstein shocks and H&R sport springs ($750), but it says the car will be lower by 1.5-2.0 inches. I drive my car 20k a year in NJ (shitty roads).

What other suspensions in this price range would be worth taking a look at? Is a coilover THAT MUCH better? ($300-400) more expensive. Keep in mind I don't track my car and I have no plans to.

Looking for any guidance in this area.

I just put the Bilstein/H&R setup on my USP love it (but I never touch snow) the car looks great, rides so much better and for $600 dollars you cannot beat the price. I personally think coilovers are a waste of time in our cars...unless you have money like that and want the car to sit perfect. I went with the H&R's because I wanted the car to sit lower in the front than it did with the stock sport suspension, Eibachs are an option but the stance was to close to what I already had.

Not sure if that helps at all, but good luck deciding.

You have any pics of your car with the bilstein/h&r setup? I'm just trying to determine if I can get away with that set up around here... I don't want to be bottoming out every day, yenno?

Thanks for the input, highly appreciated!
