Audi concert tips and tricks?

So I am looking to upgrade my Audi concert. I have an ipod connection in the glove box factory installed. I am trying to figure out if there is any way to play media from the i pod, including video. As of right now, every time I connect my iphone, my music library is automatically played. I try to stop the music from the i phone in order to switch to Pandora or slacker radio (which I was able to do on my previous vehicle), but it shuts off and proceeds to go back to playing my music library. ANY way around this> I also wanted a bit more information about coding. I have read multiple post regarding coding with vag com? Do I need a device in order to do this? And if so where can I get one? Please excuse my ignorance as I am a new Audi owner (2011 Audi A4 2.0T).

aux input should work for pandora, but i dont think you can watch media direct from ipod unless you get the xcarlink or something like it.

vag-com is a cable / software that you can buy from various sources...ask around, few hundred+ for a ROSS-TECH one, or a knockoff from china for ~$70

you need to check out the xcarlink.co.uk for playing video. it adds video inputs for xboxes / cameras / nav / etc. you'd get it for just under $200

there's a few threads related to the xcarlink, so i suggest searching and doing some readins!
