    Help with axel situation, please.

So I have clicking and the boot on my front drivers axel is ripped wide open. I cant see the other side (front passenger) and dont know if it is still good or not. Should I spend the extra $100 and get the passenger side too or just get the drivrs side and go from there???

    opinions please

Put it on ramps or a jack and inspect the passenger side. If it's torn, replace.
Sometimes you can tell if there is grease all over the inside of the wheel.
No need to replace parts if they're still good.

But it is easier to just replace the axle (albeit it more expensive). Usually if they're torn that badly they have been compromised with dirt and will eventually fail sooner than later.

Just get a napa/advanced axle for the time being - $80 with a lifetime warranty I'm pretty sure. Or just rebuild your old one.

germanautoparts has axels for $100. I wont be able to jack my car up till this weekend which I wantd to have the axels by then.

Was just wondering if it was worth my time to order the passenger side just cause ill be replacing the drivers side. So to just replace both or not.
