    ok to mix G12 with tap water???

    I changed coolant the other week, used tap water, wanted to see if its cool?

    distilled water would have been a better choice.

    You will be fine.

    Like mentioned above distilled water is the best choice but since we are talking 2.7T's here it will most likely start to leak that water/G12 mixture out before it has a chance to cause any cooling system issues

    I was too lazy to go to cvs, and get it.
    my ressy bottle is cracked so I might replace it and pour some distilled in it.

    Also what is the correct way of changing coolant, I just disconnected the lower radiator hose

    It all depends on your local tap water. If its hard, all of those minerals will end up where you want them the least. At least you didn't fill it with Prestone, but geez, give your car a little more respect.

    You're fine unless you have particularly hard water where you live. One of the reasons G12 is used in our cars is because European water is generally very hard and the G12 is formulated to keep the minerals in the water from depositing in your car.

    never had a problem mixing with water... just dont mix with green coolant or you will deteriorate everything

    I decided to do the hi temp switch and the bottle soon, so iam gonna replace coolant, I kinda feel guilty using regular water lol
