    Trans & Diff mounts....worth it?

    They are fairly inexpensive as far as mods go but I have no idea what they are supposed to 'firm up'? The descriptions usually talk about 'drivetrain slop' but I say what slop? Just looking for a little education from the experts here :D

    The diff mount is great, it really helped clean up the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift. Take about an hour to install, a friend would speed that up though. As for the tranny mount, I'm not sure dont have one... I am interested though in what others say about it, as I may bite for one myself. Cheers...

    The easiest way to see what is meant by drivetrain slop is to drive a car with the stiffer rear diff mount and transmission mount. I didn't think there was much slop in the stock setup until I drove another RS4 with the upgraded rear diff mount and transmission mount and you could tell immediately. Shifts are more precise, and the car feels more solid. I have the 034 Race transmission mount and you can feel some minor vibration through the shifter, but you get used to it and I wouldn't go back.

    John, is there a "street" density trans mount? I would opt for that if so...

    install is very simple for the trans mount.... I've been meaning to do it but not sure if I want street or race density.
