decided to take off work early today, wash, polish and wax the car one last time before the weather turns to shit this weekend. weather was beautiful so i decided to go to a spot about a half mile from my house that i like to take pictures at, its underneath the second largest bridge in portland.







well, ill be saving some serious money over the next 8 or so months until next summer, then i'll be doing COs, USP front lip, painted lowers and if i have any money left flat black VMR v701s. i also need to clear corner and get some smoked sidemarkers. that will probably be where i stop on the modding for a bit.

lol, ya i always get a chuckle out of that sign. on top of the bridge they have a different sign by the walkway, something along the lines "dont jump, if you are having suicidal thoughts please call: 503-XXX-XXXX." i've had to take a different bridge due to the police closing the bridge for a jumper once, it's a pain because the next closest bridge is way back in downtown. another time a semi carrying smashed cars from a junk yard took the corner that goes onto the bridge a little too fast, tipped over and landed on another car while almost going over the edge of the bridge.

Unpainted USP front man, get some nice wheels, and go from there, the unpainted lowers on brilliant red does it for me. Get some nice Polished wheels, or something with gold in it and it will look amazing.

They are Benz wheels (AMG Monoblocks), but what do you mean by "throw them off somewhere"?

^ Why? They are German wheels, on a German car. I'd rather see a car with OEM Merc. Germany made wheels (ie. AMG BBS XXXXX). Over some sort of jap wheel, like Volk. But don't get me wrong, I love Volk TE-37's.

ya it looks flawless when i take pictures, in person is a different story. i have so many damn scratches and small dents its ridiculous, one of these days i need to do a full respray. my hood has a cool new look, speckled paint. soooo many rock chips in my hood.

i like onceover's look, ill be doing the USP lip next summer but ill probably paint my lowers as well. i'm not a huge fan of the AMG monoblocks, im more into spoke wheels like the v701s.

OP car looks great! how did u paint ur stock wheels?

i dupli-colored them a year and half ago, there are some DIY's on here. just remember, a good paint job is all about the prep work. the paint has really held up over the last couple years, i have a couple really small rock chips in one rim and i just put a couple quarter size curb rashes in another a month ago (dammit, i had been so perfect avoiding curb rash for over a year).

You just need a good buff and a good PDR guy and that thing would look much much better.

ya, i have a clay bar kit from maguires in my garage that i have been meaning to use. maybe next summer. a solid layer of polish usually hides the scratches for a little while. when i get my lowers painted i'll have to see if they can do the PDR at the same time, a couple small dents from idiots who throw their doors open in parking lots should come out easily. i hate that though, it always seems like those small blemishes catch my eye the most.

ya, when i had the tips put on i sat there and made sure the guy lined em up perfectly. im pretty OCD about those things and whenever i see pictures of cars with a slightly misalligned tip i cringe.
