    Stupid Raccoon

Hit a nice size raccoon (20ish lbs) last night at bout 50mph and it screwed up my front lip. The fog lights are still intacked but the front lip is history and i have a small cracke in my actuall bumper just above my passenger fog light. So instead of getting a stock USP bumper i was thinking about an aftermarket Duraflex RS4 bumper. I was just seeing if anyone has anything to say about the product, good or bad I'd like to hear it. Thanks for your input, hope to hear back soon!

Sorry to hear about the stupid raccoon. But for the love of god stay away from duraflex! Those fit and look like loose old lady ass.

i want the Otty look but without having to worry about it blowing apart when i smack a chunk of ice or small furry creature. duraflex is really the only option in that case, for $300 i think it's worth a shot.
sadly i have never been able to see one in person to judge how well or awful it really looks.

Duraflex is that "flexible fiberglass", right? It sucks. It might bend but it'll crack and break like other fiberglass.

Try to get something made of ABS plastic.

Keep in mind that with replica bumpers, the more copies that are created from a mold, the less accurate future copies will be. I believe many companies that offer a duraflex product have created quite a few, thus the bumpers that are sold aren't going to be a perfect fit. Furthermore, duraflex may lend itself a but easier to warping, though I'm not sure on that one. The reason I don't blame the material itself is that I do know of a company that creates nothing but high quality products out of a duraflex-type material - they simply have tighter quality control.

Keep in mind that with some of the cheaper options you may be paying the difference between the more expensive counterparts in body shop work to have the bumper fitting properly. Every now and then you do hear of these bumpers fitting nearly perfectly though!
