Floor mat customization

Has anyone done any customization to their carpet floor mats. I just ordered the R8 GT Alcantara steering wheel with red stitching and I want to get floor mats to match. I am thinking about just going to a local auto upholstery shop and seeing if they can put on some red piping and maybe do some embroidery. I am really looking to see if anyone has any pictures of any custom mats. Or if they know of a place online to get mats made. I had sound this one site, I forget what it was, but they had mats for the S4 and did embroidery, but do not allow you to put car names or logos on the mats. So really pointless there.

I can help you out with the red edging, but getting any sort of logo on there will be tricky. You could potentially bring your own artwork to an embroidery shop and see if they'll digitize and embroider it for you. I can do block lettering, but thats about it. Good luck!

I had him make me floor mats with the Audi rings:

How exactly is this edging applied. Is it the same style that comes in some Audi cars which already have a colors edging, such as the TTS. Do I just wend you my floor mats and you redo them, or are they new floor mats?

Its applied to our floormats only. We dont have the capability to edge other floormats. Sorry.

Do they all say Flashpoint on them. Or is that just what you have on yours.

StratGreg, can you do the block lettering in color (red). I am thinking it would look great to do the floor mats with the red edging and then put "quattro" in red lettering right where you have Flashpoint on your mats.

Also OP how much is that wheel? I may consider that and is Audi dealer putting it on for you?

I used the luftimixx seller on ebay (posted by Alkivar above) to find the website in Germany, then emailed the company to order the mats below. They are very nice quality, and the "S4" logo adds a little flair to the interior. I ordered black, which is very black, as compared to my "black" interior. The flash in the last picture exaggerates the color difference, in real life it is more subtle and looks fine. If I could do it over, I might try the color called "dunkel anthracite" which I suspect is the dark grey that we actually have for the "black" interior.
Communicating with the contact by email is challenging, I know no German but Adam does know English fairly well. I had to use Google Translator to see the site in English. They also have two grades of material. The Edel Velour is more expensive but probably a closer match to OEM.
If anyone orders a set, please post what color and material you ordered, I would love to see the Edel Velour in Dunkel Anthracite with the logo.

yea i know strat has black and charcoal mats. the charcoal mats match audi interiors the best if anyones considering the them. theyre great had em in my rs4

If you know some german, I bet you could get a wide range of logos (see audi rings above), different border color, choose between two different weaves, and different colors, but I was worried about deviating from black with the standard S4 logo. The do look better than stock, however. Also, they take about 4 weeks to ship to Eastern US.

I really like the quality of the mats I received, so I've been sharing his info with lots of people... although you are the first person I've seen actually follow through with ordering and posting pics.

I agree with the color... it is a richer black than the Audi OEM carpeting... I should have said something.

As for the material they actually have 3 grades: NF Velour (Orlando), Edelvelour (Manhattan), and Hochvelour (Beverly Hills). The Edelvelour is pretty much spot on for OEM... the Hochvelour looks to be thicker and softer under foot.

Besides it being too black in the pictures, I like the logo, I would love it if I could have a silver/gray border to match the silver alcantara I'll have in my car. How much did those floormats cost? I can't read german at all.
