    Exclamation HELP!!!

I was driving today and felt a huge fuel cuts and the check engine light would flicker on and off. The car was shaking. I had replaced the coil packs, pcv, and dv with the newer versions. I am thinking this could be a cam follower. Any insight would help thanks.

not sure if this is what you are dealing with, but shortly after i picked up my car from the dealership when they were washing the engine bay the hit a vacuum hose and knocked it loose which caused my car to vibrating when accelerating. maybe the vaccuum seal was knocked loose by accident but something worth checking for preventative measure. sorry tho as im sure this probably wont help ur problem, but im sure somebody can figure out ur problem

Sounds pretty much like my car when they had to replace the cam follower, the cam and the fuel pump. What's the mileage on your car? Have you had the follower checked at all recently?

your coil pack may have fixed the problem, because that CEL flicker means that there were misfires, and a coil pack can do that. But then again a cam follower fail can cause that as well. So I'd change your cam follower right away as well.
Selling Nogoro blue Alcantara door panels. Will fit b6/b7 a4/s4/rs4. In great condition, originally wanted $600 shipped but dropped price to $500 shipped. Check my classifieds for pictures. I want these gone, will include extra door clips if requested. PM me if you want pictures of them installed or anything else I want these gone so make me an offer and we'll talk.

If you have a steady flashing cel that is due to constant misfires. I assume that you were acclerating and then your car would feel like it lost all power then the cel would flash briefly then car would pick up power.

Scan the car for codes and report. Chances are the cam follower, but could be other issues. Almost all roads lead to the infamous cam issue.

The issue has been resolved. It wasnt neither a cam follower or coil pack. Oil was getting into the spark plug due to the valve cover being splitting into two halves. The dealer has a revised valve cover 06D103469N and they gave me brand spanking new spark plugs and coil packs.
