    Transmission kicking

You guys are the only ones who can answer this. A couple months after ownership or 5000 Km on the odo, the engine and transmission needed to be changed due to vibrations, they didn't know where the vibrations came from but AOC suggested to change the transmission, since that didn't fix the problem they proceeded to change the engine which had fixed the vibrations. Since then, occassionally when getting to a full stop downshifting from 2nd to 1st kicks bad, I brought it back since they claimed they had to adapt the transmission to the engine, that reduced it a bit but it still does kick and it's really embarrasing when you have passengers, reminds me of my 1988 Bonneville, anyone has the same experience?

Mine's been doing the 2nd->1st kick since I got it new. Only 2k miles on it, so it's going to have to go in to get checked. Overall, I find the downshifting to be really clunky so far.

It does that .. the gear drops from 2 to 1 right before you hit the dead stop.

same goes for me, I've had two transmission issues so far. First was the hard shift from 2nd to 1st when coming to a stop. Second was that I had to use the paddle shift to get out of 2nd as the car was holding the gear WAY too long. The dealer did a transmission software update and the hard shift from 2nd to 1st was still present (fixed the other issue though). Unfortunately, you might just have to live with it.

Just hit 50K, still does that. It is what it is.

The Question is, are we ok with that?
